Making over your LinkedIn profile

  1. Open the LinkedIn makeover (account menu) and choose your resume.
  2. Enter the role you want next. Optionally paste your current LinkedIn headline and About — you'll also get a list of what to fix.
  3. Click Make over my LinkedIn (2 credits).
  4. Copy each section into LinkedIn: click the pencil next to your headline, About or a job, and paste.

You get three headline options, an About section with a strong first two lines, achievement bullets for your recent jobs, your top skills in order, the keywords recruiters search for, ideas for your Featured section and a profile checklist. Everything comes from your resume — nothing is invented.

Should I turn on Open to Work?

Choose "Recruiters only" — recruiters can find you without the green frame on your photo.
