- Open the AI resume builder and choose a template: Modern, Classic or Executive. All three are single-column and ATS-friendly.
- Enter your contact details. You can add an optional profile photo, shown in the top-left corner.
- Add a summary and skills — or leave them blank and the AI will write them from your work history.
- Add each position: employer, job title, dates and what you did. Measurable achievements ("cut wait times 20%") make the strongest resumes.
- Add education and certifications, and optionally the job you're aiming for (title, link or description) so the wording fits it.
- Click Build my resume. Anyone can fill in the form; seeing the result needs a free account and uses 1 credit.
Design options
- Preview — open the preview panel any time to see your resume as you type.
- Rich text — make words bold or italic, or turn lines into bullets.
- Text sizes — make your name, section headings, job titles or contact details smaller or larger.
- Skills layout — one line, or a grid of 2 or 3 columns.
- AI photo touch-up — turns your photo into a professional-looking headshot (2 credits); compare and keep whichever you prefer.
After your resume is built, changing only the design — template, photo, sizes, skills layout — or your contact details is free. Your resume is saved in My Resumes as a Word file you can edit, tailor and send.
Common questions
Should I put a photo on my resume?
In the US, Canada and the UK most employers prefer resumes without a photo. In much of Europe, Asia and Latin America a photo is common. The photo is optional — leave it off where it isn't expected.
Does the AI invent anything?
No. Names, employers, job titles and dates always come from what you typed. The AI only improves the wording.
